Poetic Expression

Words-exploding onto the paper canvas,

Like a silhouette,

Encompassing emotions,

Love and hate.

An outlet for sadness, anger and fear,

Expressing dreams we hope to come true,

And those we fear to dream.

This canvas of colorful verse,

Filled with hope, faith, and love.

Poetry

I have always enjoyed writing in all forms and have attempted to write a few stories over the years, but discovered early on in life that my main writing outlet is poetry.

As in art, poetry has been an emotional release for me, a shrapnel of words exploding from my mind to the canvas, spreading out in an artistic display of emotions.  Since emotions are always stronger when sad or angry, some of my poems may have a negative feel, but the great thing about writing poetry is that it enables those feelings to escape from my heart.

Many of my poems are about love and the range of emotions love creates.  Whether it's love of another or self, I believe love is the basis for life.  It is our strongest emotion and all other emotions stem in one way or another from love.  For without love, is life really worth living?

Photography
